Our vision is to be the largest African sisal producer group. The approximate collective area of Sisal on our farms is around 50,000 hectares, producing around thousands of tons per year, depending on favorable weather conditions.
Sisal is a plant in the agave family and produces a hard fiber with many industrial and domestic uses. Sisal plantations are most common in East Africa, Brazil and China.
We have plantations with a combined area of 50,000 hectares. Our Mozambican fiber stands out among the best in the world.
As the planting is done by us and with an ever-increasing concern for the environment, Word Business aims at conservation. As part of our effort in this regard, no pesticides or fertilizers are used on our plantations in Mozambique, as sisal is a very resistant plant.
